I can't help myself

I found a couple of incredible links and just can't help myself:

The first is Instructables
From Nerf Guns, to treehouses to a Marshmallow Gun!

This next site is Mark Jenkins who is taking over the world with Storkers. I find this kind of urban installation incredible.

And finally the Graffiti Research Lab with an incredible use for LED's: LED Throwies. Check out the link. I wonder if there is any place in Freo where this would work?

Anyway keen to get some creative collaborations going?

yeh Ive read alot about making those LEDS but that only thing that has put me off is the cost. And you cant skimp of them because you need alot to get a great effect.

maybe i have to smash the old piggy jar?

Erin loves the LEDs. She wants to make Freo pretty. With lots of Happy Rainbows.

Yeah - they must add up. I presume about $1 for an LED, and then two batteries as well - maybe $5 each at best?

Maybe a word or two though? Like 'No War'. Maybe on the side of a ship? I am not really sure where else there is an iron wall in Freo. It needs to have ferromagnetic properties (ie a magnet stick to it)

From the videos it seemed like there heaps of people involved. Without thinking much about it, I could probably pull 5 people in. Each with $20 say... The math still doesn't look the best...

LED's are $12 for a bag of 50 at Dick Smiths but the batteries are $4 for a pack of 2. you'd need both to run them. I'm sujre there are cheaper though, where the hell do old people get batteries for their hearing-aids?

$12 for 50. That sounds a little better. Maybe its worth doing some more research.

And maybe you wouldn't have to use a magnet either? Maybe tie em up?

Yeah the beer sounds good Reboot.

Had a quick chat with the Manager of Mojo's tonight and there is possibility of putting up some stencils there - she said she'd get back to me. It'll be great if that happens.
