The Left Bank

I got tipped off about a few of these stencils by Sharon from Visual Ramblings - thanks a heap!
These live in a park next to the Left Bank in East Freo.

A fistful of moolah.

Stealth. Looks a little like the CAT Buses.

Thanks! I think I'll come here more often.
I saw this one down in Margs as well recently. It was on the public toilet block off Fearn St in the main drag.

Stealth and Marilyn...
These two are up high.

Real High!

And just to prove that I am not just into Stencils.
This pastie is on the street leading up from the Left Bank to Canning Hwy.

Why the Shh...?

Reboot and Erin really like this one.

A couple more

This one is from the side of the Fremantle Hospital - on South Terrace. You can see it through one of the broken walls.

This is a close-up. It has been there for at least a year - obviously the grey square goons haven't caught sight of it yet.

This one has appeared in quite a few places around freo recently. This one in particular is from behind X-Wray. I have also seen it at Gino's, the Seaview Tavern, Abhi's bakery and have heard that it is also around the Bannister Street Carpark.
I like the detail on the wings - but maybe not so much on the body or face.

Odd Perth Stencil

I thought I would upload this one as for a number of months I saw these pidgeons up all over the place.
I think, in about three places on the way to work.
I know of one place in South Freo - will take a photo soon.
This one is on Hay St - on the carpark near 78s.

The ledge

These are some old ones from The Ledge.
The skater hang out near the Woolstores.
I haven't been there for ages, I'll endeavour to get there in the next week to update.

This one is about a metre in size.
From the right angle it looks 3D.

I really like the lines.
Pity about the overspray.

This one is over in the skate park near Captain Munchies.
A nice addition to the Nintendo theme.
Plus multilayer too.

This is an old one

This was in an alleyway on Point Street.
It was buffed at least half a year ago.
I think this is choZenD.

More old photos from the skate park in Boo Park

I am going through all my old photo files to try and see what I can find.
These all come from the skate park in Booyeembara Park.
Sample it, Loop it, F*ck it and shoot it.
There seems to be some kind of speaker on the left too.
Not sure I get it...
Can anyone read the Japanese?

Is this a flying penis?

This one just never seems to lose its timelessness.
The latest count shows at least 38,475 civilians killed in Iraq.
So much for the war being over...

A funky spider.
Or a crab.
Or a dustmite... I dunno

ZS?C

Nice celtic patterns

A mix between a wave and an Atari symbol?
Pity about the overspray.

From within the "pits" near the silos off of Swanbourne Street

I think it is gone now. Still too true though.

Fremantle Stencils are go

I have tried about 5 different free web pages and blogs and have finally settled on blogspot.com.
All the others either seemed too hard or did not allow photos to be posted.
I'll see how this goes. I may try photoblogs.org when they come back online on Friday as a last-chance ditch at something a little more flash.

I thought I would try and start doing what I have wanted to do for quite a while - and that is to post photos of Perth stencils on the web. I have decided to limit these to Freo stencils as it will be a bit easier to keep on top of things I think.

I think I'll also post other cool street art from Fremantle as I find it.

So, on with the show.
Here are some old photos:

This one is actually on the footpath in a carpark near C.Y.O'connor beach. It is quite faded now.

Just off Alma Street - on the pavement next to the primary school across from the Hospital.
This was a nice surprise on the way to train station from home one morning about a year ago.
I thought I had scoured every surface around there... This one is also quite faded now.

On the side of Spoonz on Wray - actually Little Howard.
Matches nicely with the FANG (Freo Anti Nuclear Group) theme a little up the street.

On the Indigenous art store on the corner of South Terrace and Norfolk Street.
Check out Space Invader for some more 8-bit fun.

Down on the southern end of South Beach (that's the old South Freo Power Station)
And ain't that so.
Someone must have had a mouthful of Christians that day...

In the skate park in Booyeembara Park.
I think the icon is C-star.

Again the skate park in Boo park.
I've also seen this one in a few places around 130s in Leederville (eg. on the power box outside)

The old derelect (~10 story) building on the east end of High Street.
Nicely juxtaposed with barbed wire.

Again skate park in Boo.
Multilayer stencils are alive in Freo.
C-star again.

A third by C-star in the skate park in Boo.
This photo doesn't do Neo justice.
